Owners

With their friendly service and love of socialising and hosting, Tony and Vicki are always so happy to welcome their customers to the QL. It’s proven to be a great move for them, and they are enjoying widening their experiences, offering entertainment to the community, providing a fun place for celebrations or a night out and keeping local profits in the community. But for them, the best part is always meeting their friendly patrons who come from everywhere, and who feel like friends and family to them. They love the support of the local community as well – plus they enjoy having the opportunity to support local community and sporting groups in return.

Vicki and Tony are excited to see the newly-renovated QL take shape – and they can’t wait for you to see and enjoy it too.

Meet Tony & Vicki

The owners of The QL

Tony and Vicki decided they wanted to own and run a pub while drinking a bottle of small batch rum by the river one day. And they decided to do it in Goondiwindi, a place where they both love the lifestyle, and where Vicki was born and bred. Tony moved to Goondiwindi at the age of 24 and both agree that it’s a wonderful community and a great place to bring up a family.

After enjoying 30 years in the building industry, Tony was excited about the opportunity for a career change – and still gets to put his building skills to good use with the QL’s large renovation project. And for Vicki, a move into hotel management was a perfect fit for her skills and talents, as she just loves to host, entertain and have people at home. And that was Tony and Vicki’s main vision for the QL – to make it feel like a home away from home for everyone who visits. Tony and Vicki operate under the motto that “our house is your house” and treat all their guests like family. And as they restore the pub from a run-down old building to a gorgeous country pub, they’ve created a community hub where everyone can come together to enjoy each other’s company.
